Chosen as one of 100 students from over 15,000 applicants, Gabe had the life-changing opportunity to attend Disney Dreamers Academy (DDA), an immersive program designed to inspire and empower young people to turn their dreams into reality. The experience began with a burst of excitement: Drum Major Mickey, accompanied by the Divine Nine, set the stage for what would become one of the most transformative experiences of Gabe's life. Dara Reneé, actress and the 2024 DREAMbassador, shared her powerful story, reminding everyone that no dream is too big or unattainable.

Gabe had the unique opportunity to walk down Main Street USA as part of a magical parade, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow Dreamers and Disney leaders, including Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World. As part of the Animal and Environmental Science track, Gabe had the rare chance to go behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and observe surgeries in the Veterinary OR. These moments were surreal, and ones that will forever remind him of what can be achieved when you dare to dream.

DDA was about more than career skills—it was about dreaming without limits. Surrounded by Disney Cast Members, Imagineers, scientists, and artists, Gabe learned that turning dreams into reality takes courage, commitment, and collaboration. The Dreamers Academy pushed him to step out of his comfort zone, strengthen his leadership skills, and connect with a group of incredible Dreamers who will be lifelong friends and allies. Gabe left DDA not only with unforgettable memories but also with a clear vision of how he can use his passion for healthcare to make a difference in his community and beyond. Disney Dreamers Academy taught him that no dream is too big, and he’s ready to take every step toward making his a reality.
